Nepal-Turkey Consultation Mechanism hold talks

Kathmandu, April 18 The first meeting of Nepal-Turkey Political Consultation Mechanism was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu today. Head of the Europe America Division at the MoFA Ghanshyam Bhandari and Director General for South Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ambassador Riza Hakan Tekin led their respective delegations to the meeting. The two sides took stock of various aspects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on further promoting cooperation, especially in enhancing economic engagement between the two countries. The Nepali side appreciated the cooperation extended by Turkey to Nepal, particularly in the areas of trade, education and labour. The MoFA stated in a press release that the Turkish side congratulated Nepal on the overall political achievements made in recent times and assured continuity of their support to Nepal’s development endeavours.
