CPN cadre threatens to kill Kavre trader

Kavre, April 22 Kavre-based trader Satyaman Lama said the Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party of Nepal cadre Sagar Mainali had threatened to take his life. Lama filed a case with Kavre District Administration Office and police office today saying that Mainali had repeatedly threatened to kill him. Lama of Temal said that Mainali from the Roshi area had threatened to chop off his hands and legs and feed his body parts to the fish in Roshi khola if he dared to enter the Roshi area. According to Lama, Mainali has been threatening him when he had been to Sikhani of Roshi Rural Municipality to purchase bodhi chitta last week. Lama said that he had been buying bodhi chitta from Sikhani for the past five years. “But, I have not been able to go there now because of the threat,” he stated. He demanded that Mainali be immediately arrested. Kavre DSP Dipak Giri said that sand, boulder and bodhi chitta garland trader Lama had registered a case with police saying that he had received life threat. “Police will investigate and search for Mainali,” DSP Giri said. Police had arrested nine leaders and cadres of Chand’s party, including the central commander of the party Hemant Prakash Oli from Khanikhola Rural Municiplaity, Kavre, on March 22. Earlier, police had nabbed two cadres of Chand’s party from Kafaldanda in Kavre, on March 18.
