Dhangadi, May 9 People have been facing problems due to the under-construction Dhangadi-Attariya road stretch in Kailali. Locals residing on either side of the road complained that vehicles plying on the six-lane road stretch were polluting the air with dust. The six-lane road is being constructed from Mohana Bridge of Dhangadi to Attariya. “Hundreds of people are facing problems due to the dust,” said Khangendra Khatri, a local. He said dust had completely covered the surroundings. Locals said no authority concerned or the construction company had paid attention to the dust, which was directly affecting people’s health. They added no measure had been put in place to minimise the dust. Locals have frequently protested against the authority concerned to minimise dust. “We have requested the project office and construction company to adopt measures to minimise the dust time and again, but in vain,” said a local, Dipak Khadka. He said they were facing severe problem for a long time due to the dust caused by delay in completion of road upgradation work.
