BARA: An unidentified group has torched a lorry in Bajani of Jeetpur-Simara Sub Metropolitan City-3 on Monday midnight. The lorry with Indian registration (AP 31 X 6316) was carrying pipes for the Nepal-India Petroleum Pipeline, which were damaged by the fire along with the vehicle itself. Bara Police Spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ranjit Singh Rathore assured that the fire was brought under control with the help of Jeetpur-Simara fire engine, security personnel and the locals. DSP Rathore said that investigation into the arson attack was going on. With the nationwide strike called by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) today, the region is moderately affected. However, security has been highly tightened.
