KATHMANDU: Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO) condemns all forms of violence and is extremely concerned about the recent incidents of IED explosions in the capital city. Releasing a press statement, NATO has called on all political sides to find a common ground through negotiations and other peaceful means to address their grievances. Four persons died and several others were injured in a series of explosions that took place in assorted locations of Kathmandu Valley on May 26. Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has claimed responsibility for the blasts. Through the statement, NATO urges the Government of Nepal and its agencies to ensure a violence-free atmosphere in which tourists can visit and enjoy Nepal, especially as the Visit Nepal Year 2020 approaches. NATO is a non-government, non-profit making, and non-political organisation dedicated and committed to promoting in-bound quality tourism, and developing new and exciting tourism products.
