State government to take full responsibility of mass murder survivor

PHIDIM: The government of Province 1 has decided to take full responsibility of the girl who managed to flee and save herself in the mass murder that took place in Aarubote, Miklajung Rural Municipality-3 of Panchthar district, on May 20. The government will take care of food, accommodation and education of 12-year-old Sita Khajum Limbu. Minister for Internal Affairs and Planning Indra Bahadur Angbo made the announcement. Limbu was admitted to Martrys Memorial Boarding School in Itahari Municipality of Sunsari on Friday. In the carnage, Limbu lost both her grandparents, younger sister and other relatives. Nine people of two related families were murdered in the incident, which is still under investigation. The main accused is suspected to have committed suicide.
