Hetauda, June 7 Province-3 Principal Attorney Suryachandra Neupane has resigned from his post. Neupane tendered his resignation today to the governor of the province through the province’s Chief Secretary Anandaraj Dhakal, at the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers. Though Neupane had landed the job as per the decision of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, he is said to have made the party leadership unhappy lately, by his arbitrary way of conducting business. After tendering resignation, Neupane said he didn’t feel comfortable in holding the position and so chose to quit. “Holding a position means restraining yourself within certain limitations, which was very difficult for someone like me who has always loved to work freely. Therefore, I chose to step down,” he said. Sources, claimed Neupane had resigned upon getting a hint that the party’s central leaders were mulling over an action against him. Decision on his resignation will be taken only after the CM Dormani Poudel, who is currently undergoing treatment in Kathmandu, returns.
