Bara, June 26 Two girls were raped at different places of Nijgadh Municipality in Bara. Bara Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Rathaur said that the rape accused in both the incidents were arrested and investigation was under way. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rathaur, Tirtha Bahadur Sunar of Bhamaratole in Nijgadh was nabbed on the charge of raping his 15-year-old daughter when he was alone at home yesterday. The case filed by the victim with the police states that Tirtha Bahadur had repeatedly tried to rape the daughter from his second wife for the past one year and raped her last Monday when she was alone at home. Sunar was remanded for seven-day custody and investigation has been launched. The victim girl was handed over to her family after health check-up. Likewise, Bara police on Wednesday arrested a person for raping a 12-year-old girl in Nijgadh. The arrested has been identified as Min Bahadur Majhi, 40. “Majhi was arrested on the charge that he had raped the daughter of a distant relative,” said DSP Rathaur. Majhi has, however, denied the charge against him.
