WASHINGTON:

Pamela Anderson hates exploitation against animals, especially apes, and has called on the advertising world to follow in Hollywoods footsteps and use computer-generated imagery instead of using real animals to sell products on TV. The former Baywatch star, who is a vocal activists for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), recently wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal to voice her protest and to support the cause. “King Kong is my hero. He’s big, muscular, sensitive, a terrific actor — and he’s not real. The use of computer-generated imagery has really taken off in Hollywood. So why has Madison Avenue suddenly gone bananas for real apes?” contactmusic quoted her, as stating in her article. “I’ve vowed never to be involved with a production that uses live apes because I dont want to be part of this cruelty. Lets drop the curtain on ape actors by sticking to animatron,” she added.
