Pokhara, August 17 Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal today said that regressive forces were working to revive monarchy. Inaugurating the first conference of Nepal Transport Independent Labourersâ Organisation, Gandaki Province Committee in Pokhara, Nepal alleged that forces against change had become active to revive monarchy. Nepal made it clear that the country had entered a new era following successful political revolution. âNepal has adopted democratic republic system after a long struggle.â Nepal argued that a government of two-thirds majority was formed and responsibility had fallen on the shoulders of the NCP to usher in prosperity and change in the country. He asked the party leadership and the prime minister to meet peopleâs needs and expectations. âGovernment has to hear peopleâs criticism and address them,â he said. Nepal accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of failing to heed to the voice of people and of the opposition. âThe NCP has to review governmentâs work to make it responsible towards people and the country. It has to work to realise the governmentâs slogan of Happy Nepali: Prosperous Nepal.â
