Khanal lobbying for NCP third rank

Kathmandu, August 17 Former prime minister and Central Secretariat member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Jhalanath Khanal has been lobbying for the third position in hierarchy of the party behind the two Co-chairs Prime Minister KP Shama Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal. As of now, former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is in the third position of the party’s hierarchy. Khanal is in the fourth position. “The Central Secretariat meeting tomorrow will discuss hierarchy of the party,” NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha told The Himalayan Times. Newly proposed vice-chair of the party Bam DevGautam is in the fifth position. Likewise, Narayan KajiShrestha is in the sixth, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel ranks seventh, Home Minister Ram BahadurThapa is eighth and Bishnu Paudel is in the ninth position of the party hierarchy.
