POKHARA: An eldely woman died after a stone hit her while she was crossing a river in Sigana area of Baglung Municipality-8 in Baglung district today. Gandaki Province Police Office-based in Pokhara identified the deceased as Achchhi Giri (75) of Bhimpokhari Kathekhola Rural Municipality-2 in the district. The elderly woman was crossing Guwakhola on the way from her parental-home at Tityang in Baglung-9 to her home village when a boulder rolled down the hill and hit her. In a separate incident, a tree fell on a woman and crushed her to death in Chapakot Municipality of Syangja district today. The deceased has been identified as Nini Kumari Gaha, a local resident of Kisanbiruwa. Gaha was planting rice in a field when a tree fell on her and crushed her to death, police informed.
