Pokhara, September 18 Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung today said that his government was serious about controlling dengue. Answering Govind Rijal’s complaint that the province government had not been serious about checking dengue on Hello Chief Minister Programme, CM Gurung said his government was serious about controlling the disease. “I issued a directive to the concerned minister and secretary to launch a drive against dengue two days ago. The government has allocated Rs 2.1 million for dengue control,” he added. He said his government had launched a campaign to search and destroy mosquito larvae in collaboration with Tole Bikash Santha, Mothers’ Group and Youth Club.
