SUNSARI: People travelling to the eastern hilly districts for Dashain festival have been stranded at Bhanuchok of Dharan in lack of sufficient number of vehicles. The buses plying the Koshi hilly highway are not enough as compared to the number of travellers and hence people travelling for Dashain have been waiting in Dharan for over five hours to find a bus that would take them home. Senior citizens, children and those returning home from foreign employment to celebrate the festival with their families are awaiting passenger buses. Those travelling to Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur among other districts in the eastern hills are stuck in Dharan.
