Janakpur’s Paan seller scales Mt Ama Dablam

JANAKPUR: A Paan seller from Janakpur sub-metropolitan city successfully climbed Mt Ama Dablam in the Mt Everest region, according to expedition organiser. Ranjit Sah, 33, from the southern Tarai district scaled the 6812-metre peak to train himself for the upcoming spring expedition on Mt Everest, Babu Sherpa, Managing Director at Peak promotion Pvt Ltd said. Sah, who runs a Paan shop in Janakpur – 4, along with other climbers successfully stood atop the scenic mountain at around 7:00 am on Tuesday, Sherpa said after returning from the base camp today. “Sah is a popular cyclist in the region and he also aims to attempt to climb Mt Everest in the upcoming spring season,” Sherpa, who guided the cyclist to the top of Ama Dablam, shared. Sah brought his cycle to the Mt Everest base camp a month ago to explore a message of a safe environment, he informed. It took nearly nine hours to reach the top of the summit from the base camp, Sah said, adding that success on Ama Dablam built confident on him to make an attempt to the world’s highest peak next season. “I will try to scale Mt Everest with my bicycle,” he said.
