Civil Society supports Dr Govinda KC; calls his demands necessity of the hour

DADELDHURA: Civil Society of Dadeldhura organised a rally today in the district to show their support to Dr Govinda KC who is on the fifth day of his hunger strike. Senior orthopaedic surgeon KC has been on the hunger strike in Dadeldhura to draw the government's attention to his seven-point demand. Participating in the rally, Karna Bahadur Malla, member of the Sudur-Paschim Provincial Assembly from Nepali Congress warned that a huge protest could be underway if Dr KC's demands are not fulfilled. 'The demands raised by Dr KC will bring benefits to the public. The government and political parties should work together in order to fulfil them,' stated Malla. Echoing him, Chair of Dadeldhura's Civil Society, Ram Joshi also said that Dr KC is on a hunger strike for the welfare of every Nepali citizen and if his demands are not met, a vehement protest might take place. Along with the Civil Society, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dadeldhura and Doti districts also organised a rally on Thursday in support of the senior doctor. This is Dr Govinda KC's 17th hunger strike. Dr KC is staying at a private residence belonging to a local, near Dadeldhura Hospital. READ ALSO:
