DADELDHURA: Senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, who is on his 17th fast-unto-death, has been admitted to Dadeldhura Hospital. According to the acting medical director of the hospital, Jitendra Kandel, Dr KC was admitted to the health facility after his health check-up was carried out at the place where he has been staging the hunger strike, Friday evening. Dr Kandel stated that Dr KC was brought to the hospital for treatment in the presence of medical personnel after his health started weakening. Dr KC has been put on normal saline since yesterday evening. Meanwhile, various civil societies in the district have started different kinds of protest programmes against the government and in support of the striking doctor. People came together in a rally today afternoon in Dadeldhura headquarters Baghkhor. Dr KC started the hunger strike in Dadeldhura on November 4. On October 15, the senior doctor had warned of a fresh hunger strike if his seven-point demands were not met by the government. READ ALSO:
