KATHMANDU: Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya and Swarnim School won the table tennis team event gold medals under the MIS Cup here on Tuesday. SAM defeated Modern Indian School 3-2 in boys’ section final, while Swarnim outplayed MIS girls’ team 3-0. In football, GEMS School and SAM entered the final. GEMS defeated St Xavier’s School 2-1, while SAM beat Little Angels’ School 4-2. In the semi-final matches of basketball tournament, Chandbagh beat DAV School 47-34, while SAM thrashed KMC 44-6. The finals are slated for Wednesday.
