Lamjung's Besisahar to be relieved of drinking water problems

LAMJUNG: People of Besisahar Municipality in Lamjung district will be relieved of drinking water problems in a couple of months from now. With the completion of 90 percent works of the Bhachok Khola drinking water project at an investment of Rs 170 million, locals of the municipality can expect to use the water in about two months. The project is being constructed with 70 percent investment of Nepal government and 30 percent investment of the consumers. The drinking water will be brought to the municipality through Besisahar Sahalagani Khanepani tatha Sarsafai Project within a period of one month and within two months the drinking water will be distributed for people's consumption, informed project chief of federal drinking water and sewage management project, Lamjung, Ram Chandra Kafle. Presently, the construction of three ponds with the storage capacity of 900,000 litres has been completed. Likewise, works related to fitting the main drinking water pipeline is also in its final state, stated Krishna Kumar Pradhan, chair of Besisahar Drinking Water and Cleanliness Consumers Committee. Pradhan further claimed that with successful completion of the drinking water project, Besisahar denizens will not have to face any drinking water problem for the next 20 years.
