LAMJUNG: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Nabin Kumar Shrestha has received the highest votes for the post of ward chair in the by-election conducted in Parewa Danda, Sundar Bazaar Municipality-2, Lamjung district. Shrestha who received 989 votes, topped over the Nepali Congress opponent Prakash Sedhaae by 505 votes. Among other candidates of the by-election, Pawan Raj Basaula from Rastra Prajatantra Party received 16 votes, Krishna Bahadur KC, an independent candidate, received 12 votes and Ramjee Darji from the Mongol Organisation received 8 votes. A total of 1,523 votes were cast in the three poll centres, among those votes 12 were declared invalid.
