Kathmandu, May 21:

Nepali Congress Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting today ended inconclusively even though it took a number of important decisions that are expected to consolidate the party’s position, both in out of the parliament.

The meet declared the formation of a number of committees, including the one that will coordinate between the party and the parliament.

Another committee will look into the practice of inclusive democracy. Similarly, there will also be a committee to look into issues concerning NGOs and one to handle cultural issues.

Baldev Sharma Majgaiya, a CWC member, said the party leadership is also mulling sending the central leaders to villages to boost the party’s organisational activities. The party is also working to implement its code of conduct with the help of a team already formed for the same purpose.

The CWC members discussed the possibility of cabinet expansion and talks with the Maoists. The meet also took notice of the Maoists’ extortions that are continuing unabated at different places.

Earlier in the day, the parliamentary committee held a meeting at Baluwatar to disscuss the HoR’s proclamation and the need to regulate the House.
