Nepali film Numafung, which has already won two international awards, participated in the 17th Singapore Movie Festival which started on April 15. Three hundred movies from 35 countries including Numafung from Nepal are participating in the film festival. The festival is an important and popular event among Asian filmmakers. The festival will last till May 1. Director Nabin Subba, will not be present at the festval as the business contract for the film with Australian Television is yet to be completed. Meanwhile, Australian Television has decided to buy the television rights of Numafung.
Numafung has participated in various international film festivals organised in the United States, Japan, France, India, Bangladesh and other countries. Numafung bagged the Best Runner Up Movie Award in the Bangladesh International Film Festival at Dhaka and the Audience Choice award in Bijul international film festival in France.
