RAUTAHAT, DECEMBER 13 Home Secretary Maheswor Neupane today said Province 2 was facing security challenges in recent days and the home administration would do everything possible to crack down on smugglers, drug dealers and criminals without making any compromise whatsoever. Inaugurating the newly-built building of Rautahat District Administration Office,Secretary Neupane held that smuggling from across the border, drug abuse, and crimes had escalated in the province of late. “The Home administration will now put in all its efforts to check increasing criminal activities in the province,” Neupane clarified. Neupane warned police personnel and others would be punished if they deviated from their responsibility. He asked civil servants and police personnel to deliver service to the public effectively. “The DAO and the police have to play a lead role in maintaining law and order and also help achieve the development.”
