BARA/DHANGADHI: Locals in Bara district in Province 2 and Dhangadhi in Sudur Pashchim Province took out rallies against the 'unconstitutional and undemocratic' move from PM KP Sharma Oli on Sunday. People from political parties including Nepal Communist Party, Nepal Congress, Janata Samajwadi Party, staged demonstrations against Oli government's decision to dissolve House of Representatives. Leaders from various parties criticized PM's move to dissolve the parliament which was approved from the Presidential office this afternoon. NCP's Bara district chair Chhetra Bahadur Shrestha (Anil) said that the act is a betrayal to country's citizens. Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party, Bara, Ajay Patel said they are revolting against the action in a peaceful manner. He said that the protests would be intense if the government does not rectify its actions. Similarly Nepal Congress Mahasamiti member Lokesh Singh conveyed that while the democratic system is being institutionalised, PM Oli should not take such a move. He further stated that protest against this has started from today. Likewise, in Dhangadhi, demonstration in favour of and against PM Oli were carried out. The Youth Federation close to Oli factions took out a bike rally in favour of PM Oli whereas groups close to Dahal-Nepal protested the former's move calling it anti-national. Both the sides have called for provincial level programmes to condemn/ support the government's recent act that was endorsed by the President.
