KATHMANDU: A meeting of the central committee of ruling Nepal Communist Party chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has taken action against party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, removing him from the post. Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali has been appointed the new NCP (NCP) spokesperson. At the same meeting, Oli also formed a general convention organisers’ central committee comprising 1199 members. The Dahal-Nepal faction has also called for a separate central committee meeting later today. The two warring factions of the ruling NCP independently called meetings of the central committee members following dissolution of the House of Representative and announcement of mid-term polls.
