Westerly wind brings in cloudy weather

KATHMANDU: Weather in the country will be partly to generally cloudy today as an influence of the westerly wind, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology shared. These conditions will prevail in Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces. However, Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar informed there are no chances of rainfall as the westerly wind is in a weak state. Most parts of the country would see fog and haze in the mornings of the coming days and it would be sunny in the afternoons. Meanwhile, Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partly cloudy. The minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley is 3.6 degrees Celsius today and the maximum 19.8 degrees Celsius. Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius while the highest minimum temperature 9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bhairahawa in the last 24 hours.
