Kathmandu Valley logs 267 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday

KATHMANDU: The three districts of Kathmandu valley reported as many as 267 new cases of the coronavirus infection on Saturday. Of the total 500 new cases in the country, Kathmandu district reported 209 infections while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur registered 42 and 16 infections respectively. Of those newly infected in the valley, 117 are females while 150 are males. Read Also: 500 new Covid-19 cases registered on Saturday; nationwide tally hits 257,700 Currently, there are 3,014 active infections in Kathmandu, 439 in Lalitpur, and 187 in Bhaktapur. The total number of active cases throughout Nepal, as of today, is 6,749. So far, 460 fatalities from Covid-19 have been reported in Kathmandu, 98 in Bhaktapur, and 145 in Lalitpur. The nationwide death-toll has advanced to 1,819. Read Also: Covid-19 death-toll reaches 1,819 with three more fatalities A total of 92,605 people have recovered from the infection in Kathmandu while 14,457 have recovered in Lalitpur and 8,490 in Bhaktapur. Kathmandu alone remains the district to have over 500 active cases. Meanwhile, Mugu and Rukum West are the only two districts with zero live infections at present.
