Compliance, protection of statute a must: Veep Pun

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 29 Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun said the political and constitutional developments of late have caused disappointment among people. “It is sad for the country to have its people disenchanted with political developments.” In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Tamu Lhosar-2020 (the festival of the Gurung community) today, Pun highlighted full compliance and protection of the constitution for the safeguarding of republicanism, federalism, secularism and proportional inclusive governance system with social justice. He urged all sides to be equally responsible for full-fledged compliance in relation to the constitution for political stability and development of the country by respecting the letter and spirit of the statute. As a multi-lingual, multi-religious, multi-cultural and geographically diverse country, Nepal is known across the world for its social goodwill and fraternity amidst a mix of various cultures, heritages, civilizations and communities, read the vice-president’s message.
