Biden sworn-in as 46th US President; Harris makes history as first black, South-Asian woman vice-president

KATHMANDU: Joe Biden has been sworn-in as the 46th President of the United States of America. He was sworn-in at the inauguration event on the West Front of the US Capitol in Washington on January 20. Likewise, Kamala Harris was sworn-in as the vice-president making her the first black, first South-Asian American and the first woman to hold the post. Outgoing President Donald Trump did not attend the inauguration ceremony attended by other past presidents - George W Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
