Opium farms over 350 ropani destroyed in Dhading

DHADING: Police have destroyed opium planted on around 350 ropani land in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading district on Saturday.

According to District Police Office, Dhading, a team of 35 police personnel under the command of Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahendra Khadka, Chief of Dhading Police, visited various locations including Jurung, Simtar, and Jyawa of Benighat Rorang and destroyed the prohibited opium plants.

Police have been destroying illegal farms of marijuana and opium in Dhading every year, however, the smuggling and selling of brown sugar, marijuana and other drugs have not decreased in the district.

Dhading Police have been arresting and seizing illegal drugs in the district almost every month.
