Dhading, July 11:

Minister for Local Development, Rajendra Pandey, said that poverty alleviation and rural development is possible by mobilisation of resources.

Minister Pandey was speaking at a function organised after he visited tourist area Toplang at Naubise VDC- 7(Dhading) today.

Toplang was converted into a tourist village on the initiative of locals. Minister Pandey said he is ready to provide facilities like electricity, road and other developmental works from the side of government to convert Toplang as a tourist area.

Pandey, today, inaugurated the newly constructed building of Nriweshwor Primary School (Toplang) that was constructed with the assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He also laid the foundation stone of a water pond.

It is stated that there will be commercial plantation of vegetables in Toplang.
