LONDON:

Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue has admitted her battle with breast cancer is not over but she now has a new outlook on life.

“I’ve been through something that, as anyone who has been through it knows or anyone who is a friend of someone knows, it’s no picnic. And I’m still going through it. It’s not like,

‘Hey, it’s all over’,” she says in an interview to be broadcast on Britain’s Sky One television channel.

Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer last May. She had surgery to remove a cancerous lump, completed chemotherapy and is still under the care of doctors but is recovering.

In the interview, the 38-year-old singer says her experience had given her fresh impetus in life. “I just want to do everything, I really do. I honestly don’t want to sound soppy or too cliched, but that’s the way it is,” she explained. “It’s nice to take a walk and it’s nice to see friends. I just can’t help but see things differently.”
