Kathmandu, July 20:

The Special Parliamentary Hearing Committee chaired by Asta Laxmi Shakya today said the committee would conduct hearing before the appointment of government officials.

“We will conduct hearing before their appointment,” Shakya told journalists. The committee would also conduct such a hearing before the appointment of the Chief Justice and Justices of the Supreme Court and lower courts as well, she said. “After the hearing, we will forward the names of the candidates to the authorities concerned for appointment,” she added.

“By conducting hearing, we can ensure the appointment of deserving persons to different posts,” she said. Through hearing, people would get chance to know the appointees, their conduct and dedication to work.
