Lalitpur, July 23 :

Convener of the Maoists talks team Krishna Bahadur Mahara today said his talk team is preparing to submit a written complaint to the talks monitoring committee on ‘gross violation of the code of conduct by the government’.

While addressing a reunion of released Maoists prisoners and a felicitation programme

organised by the Special Central Command of the CPN Maoists at Godawari, Mahara said the government did not even consult them on the letter to the United Nations.

“They neither discussed it with the seven parties nor at the cabinet.” The seven parties and the Maoists had agreed to have agreement from all concerned while making decision on any issue of national interest.

Mahara said the government had asked the United Nations to segregate people’s army from their weapons, collect the weapons, control them and then destroy.

“However, they have not talked anything about the Royal Nepali Army,” he said questioning the intention of the government. He said the army has not at all changed.

He accused that some among the seven parties were heading towards monarchy. He added the government is trying to return back to the old state mechanism. “The peace talk has been deadlocked on this point.”

“Time has come for the Nepali people to make sacrifices once again,” Mahara said adding that the Maoists are ready to go for a peaceful protest and show their strength.

Another central committee member Hishila Yami praised the ideology Prachandapath claiming that it was the only formula that took the Maoist revolution to this height. She said there is a possibility of an army coup.

Mahara along with in-charge of the Special Central Command Ananta felicitated hundreds of released prisoners of conscience.
