Kathmandu, August 8:

The High-Level Investigation Commission today interrogated 14 police officials, including Superintendent of Police Surendra Bahadur Shah, Dhananda Bhatta, Tula Bahadur KC and Rajan Bahadur Bista, Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) Basanta Lama, Manoj Neupane, Thule Rai, Sarvendra Khanal, Manoj Neupane, Sharad Chand and some inspectors, over their involvement in suppressing the people during the Jana Andolan-II, spokesperson for the Commission, Dilli Raman Acharya, stated.

The high-level investigation commission is headed by a former justice of the Supreme Court, Krishna Jung Rayamajhi. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Man Shrestha and Narayan Chimauriya, who were among those summoned for interrogation, could not appear at the commission, Acharya said, adding that they will be summoned again.
