To cope with the economic problems caused by security woes, need for unity among the industrialists and traders is needed. This has been pointed in a press release by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
The industrialists and traders have urged the Government to find a way out from any untoward situation facing the country. They also asked the Chambers of Commerce and Industries to focus on less expensive undertakings.
On a two-day national seminar on ‘Ways to Income Generation for Chambers of Commerce and Industries’, organised by FNCCI with assistance from GTZ-PSPP/SEQUA and in association of Chambers of Commerce and Industries (CCI), Narayangarh, the speakers expressed these views.
Distributing certificates during the closing ceremony of the seminar, third chairman of FNCCI Chandi Raj Dhakal opined that a ‘chamber law’ was more than necessary for the welfare and development of the industrialists and traders. He said that it was also necessary to conduct social programs for the nourishment of industries and trade.
Chairmen of FNCCI Human Resources Development Committee and Pradip Man Baidya and chairman of the Membership Service Strengthening Committee Kishor Kumar Pradhan informed that the federation will conduct such programs in the future too.
Speaking from the chair, chairman of Narayangarh CCI Ramesh Kumar Piya stressed the need of economic programs for empowerment and sustainable development of the Chambers.
Altogether 54 persons participated and 11 papers were presented in the seminar, coordinated by CCI Narayangarh second chairman Udaya Kumar Shrestha.
