Kathmandu, August 28 :

The German delegation that visited Nepal from August 22 to 25 has assured Nepal that Germany would focus on areas of health, renewable energy (hydropower, biogas) and promote local self-governance, while giving financial support to Nepal.

According to a press released issued by the embassy of the Federal of Republic of Germany today, the German delegation while discussing with the Nepali government took stock of recent political developments and progress made in the peace process.

The delegation discussed possibilities of extending ongoing projects and some new areas of

cooperation. The final decision is scheduled for November 2006.
