Sound Chemistry wins Vibration contest

In what seemed to be a high-pitched battle between the bands, Sound Chemistry walked away with the title of the Best Band in the final battle of the Old Carrier Vibration — All Nepal Band Competition that took place at the BICC grounds on September 23.

The venue was packed with thousands having turned up to see the bands battle it out. Certain mobile service subscribers were could also SMS their votes for their favourite band. The panel of jury comprised eminent singers Dev Rana, Raju Gurung, Jyoti Ghimire, Om Bikram Bista, Suwarna Limbu, Deepak Thapa and Upendra Lal.

Nine bands battled it out and the contest saw them performing their most lively gigs. The contest also had other subtitles including Best Vocalist, Best Bass Guitarist, Best Lead Guitarist, Best Drummer, Best Composer, Best Lyricist and Best Stage Performance.

The huge crowd were not only enthralled by the bands in competition, but various other bands like Strings, X-Mantra among others had their gigs scheduled as part of the day’s attractions.
