Palpa, September 22 :
Former Finance Minister and CPN (UML) standing committee member, Bharat Mohan Adhikari, today alleged that the government, which got the mandate of Jana Andolan, has awarded persons who were actively involved in suppressing the Jana Andolan. Adhikari was speaking at a press meet organised by Press Chautari (Palpa) in Tansen.
He said the activities of government have hurt him deeply. “However, there is the obligation to give continuity to the government and parliament until the election to the constituent assembly”.
Saying that there would be revolutionary changes without a king in the country, Adhikari said: “Rather than calling the government as the government of the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and other parties, it would be better to call it a government established through the Jana Anlolan-II.”
Adhikari said that the government was stalling the announcement on the date for constituent assembly polls.
