Six hurt in wild boars’ attack

Six peasants were injured when wild boars attacked them at Sim area of Nirauli VDC in Doti district while they were trying to chase the animals away from their farms yesterday.

The peasants of Gadsera and Nirauli VDCs decided to drive away the wild animals after their paddy was destroyed. But a dozen wild boars roaming around Sim attacked the peasants, said Ramesh Khatri of Narauli-4.

Name Bohara of Pari in Nirauli VDC-3 and Maha Singh Shahi of Gadsera VDC-5, were critically injured while four others sustained minor injuries. Bohara and Shahi are undergoing treatment at India, Hem Bahadur Hamal of Nirauli-2 said.
