‘Dialogue a must for businesses’

Experts at an interaction organised by Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) have stressed on the need for effective social dialogues between employees and the management to resolve misunderstandings.
According to BCCI, the first vice-president of BCCI Bibekman Karmacharya while addressing the programme said that there was a need to resolve the disputes between employees and employers through dialogues. He hoped that it would help in maintaining sound labour relations in organisations.
Rabindra Shrestha, acting chairman of Employers’ Council of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), said that there is cold relation between management and trade unions due to lack of social dialogues. Former president of BCCI Krishna Prasad Tamrakar also stressed on sound relations between entrepreneurs and employees.
Dr Rajen Mehrotra, senior expert from Delhi ILO SRO spoke of the need to increase the productivity of organisations along with increased demand of employees.
