Kathmandu, October 12:
The government of Japan has allotted Rs 56,15,061 ($76,866) to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), Japan, to be utilised for the construction of sub health post buildings in Kavrepalanchowk district.
Papers of a contract signed to this effect was exchanged today between Tsutomu Hiraoka, the Japanese ambassador to Nepal and Tetsuo Hayashi, programme manager of ADRA Japan, here.
Speaking at the function, ambassador Hiraoka said: “Health is a basic human need, irrespective of place, time and environment. And this project will benefit the local community and contribute to improving the health services in the area.”
The grant will be utilised for the construction of eight sub health post buildings in Balthali, Koshideka, Kushadevi, Mahendrajyoti, Patlekhet, Phoolbari, Rayale and Tukucha Nala VDCs of the district.
The grant assistance for Japanese NGO projects aims to provide financial assistance for the implementation of social and economic development projects.
