Jhapa, October 20:
Claiming that the re-establishment of displaced police posts is a violation of the ceasefire code of conduct, the CPN-Maoist has asked the District Administration Office (DAO) to remove the re-established posts.
“We have urged the DAO to remove the posts. We will be forced to think of alternatives if the posts are not remove the posts,” said Maoist’s Jhapa district secretary, Agni.
“An agreement was reached with the SPA to re-establish police posts in Bhutanese refugee camps, but the posts are being re-established in rural areas.”
“The post of the Maoist people’s army, which was established near the customs office, has been removed. However, the DAO re-established police posts without any agreement,” Agni said.
