Kathmandu, October 22:

Nepal Industrial and Commercial Bank Ltd (NIC Bank) has received an ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality management and service delivery.

The bank has become Nepal’s first commercial bank to be awarded with the ISO certificate.

United Registrar of Systems Ltd, the authorised certification agency under the London-based United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), awarded the certificate to the bank, states a press release issued by the NIC Bank today.

The certificate has been awarded after rigorous inspection of management, service delivery and quality control by UKAS team and experts, adds the release.
