Kathmandu, October 23:
Three cases of theft were reported in Kathmandu last night, police said today.
According to the police, property worth Rs 30,000 was stolen from the house of Ramshekar Acharya at Saraswotinagar, Kathmandu. Rs 75,000 in cash, 10 tolas of golden jewellery and other valuables were stolen from the house at Kapan when family members were asleep.
Property worth Rs 120,000 was also stolen from the house of Nara Bhupal Pradhan at Sankhamul.
Police said Rs 25,000 in cash, a video camera, two tolas of golden jewellery and a television set were stolen. The thieves entered the house after breaking the window panes of the house and made away with the loot, the police said.
At Naradevi, a group of four persons stole Rs 35,000 in cash, a computer and other valuables from the house of Janak Raj Rawal in the evening. “Locals told us that four persons entered the house from a window that was open,” the police further said.
