KATHMANDU: Ayushma Pokharel, Miss Nepal 2005 second runner-up, has left for Manila, the Philippines on November 4 to take part in the Miss Earth 2006 pageant. She will be representing Nepal at the pageant to be held in the Philippine capital on November 26. This information was given in a press statement issued by Hidden Treasure, the organisers of the Miss Nepal pageant.

Ayushma will be attending various programmes related to world environmental issues as part of the Miss Earth pageant. For the international pageant, Ayushma will sing a song during the talent round, while she will be donning the Newari traditional dress in haku-patasi for the national costume round.
