KATHMANDU: Hosts Kirtipur English Boarding School (KEBS) defeated DAV by 32 runs to win the first KEBS Inter-school Cricket Tournament. Batting first, KEBS were all out for 193 runs in 34 overs riding on Sanjay Shrestha’s explosive 72 off 34 balls. In reply, DAV were packed for 161 in 34.1 overs. Robin Joshi scored 49 runs for DAV. Man of the match Sanjay Shrestha took three wickets for the hosts. Manish Mangranit of DAV was adjudged the man of the series while Aashik Sharma and Sumit Shah of KEBS won the best batsman and best bowler awards.
