Up, up and away

Up, up and away

By Rishi Singh

I’m having a very nice time. This is my first time at THT food festival. It was very exciting to hold the pigeon during the opening ceremony. Everything is very well organised and I am

enjoying it a lot. Thai food is my favourite, and among other countries food I like South Korea the most.

— Vanvisa Tamrongnavasa, Ambassador of Thailand

This is very nice and encouraging. I wanted to taste food which are not readily got in Bangladesh, so I started with Thai food.

— Imtiaz Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh

I am enjoying myself and I loved the paani puris. I want to see what the Russians and South Koreans have on their menu. Mexican dishes are excellent. I like the setting and the area is spacious, so there is no problem of being crushed in the crowd.

— Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, Ambassador of India

We visited the Russian stall first since we lived in Russia for three years. The Chicken Blinchki is really good. Besides this, we would like to try food that we’ve not tasted before. The stalls are more beautifully decorated and the food fest is better organised this time.

— Malaysian Ambassador Mahinder Singh’s family

This is a good opportunity for people from various countries to showcase their national food. Unfortunately there isn’t an Australian stall, but we’ll probably have one next year.

— Graeme Lade, Ambassador of Australia
