Building inaugurated

KATHMANDU: Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Urmila Aryal, on Friday inaugurated the central office building of ‘Women for human Rights, Single Women Group’ at Baluwatar. The building has been constructed with a view to ensuring the rights of widows and making them self-reliant. Aryal said women should be subjected to equal representation rather than inclusion at every level. — RSS

Orthopaedists’ meet

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs KP Sharma Oli opened

the 4th Orthopaedic Association of SAARC Countries Conference-2006 on Friday. Altogether 125 Orthopaedic experts of SAARC countries along with those from America, Japan and Australia are attending the conference where over 100 working papers on concerned subjects will be presented. The meet, held with an aim of holding discussions on challenges seen in the orthopaedic sector and exchanging ideas and information, will also discuss enabling common people’s access to treatment of diseases. — RSS
