Little Angels’ registered a 19-run win over Kathmandu Xavier’s Public and Budhanilkantha beat Galaxy by 60 runs in the third Shree SNB Memorial Inter-school Cricket Tournament today.
Little Angels’ scored 136-8 in 25 overs but Kathmandu Xavier’s was bowled out for 117 runs in 24.4 overs. For Little Angels’ Suvenkar Singh top-scored with 34 runs. Uday Shrestha took three wickets while Ranjit Nepali took two for Xavier’s.
Nima Sherpa scored 17 and Sandesh Neupane 16 runs for Kathmandu Xavier’s. Man of the match Pranab Shrestha and Rochak Bhatta picked up three wickets each for Little Angels’.
In the second match, Bhoj Raj Bam completed a five-wicket haul (25-5) for Galaxy but could not contain Budhanilkantha from scoring runs. Budhanilkantha managed 133 runs before being bowled out in 24.5 overs. Galaxy could muster only 73 runs in 21.3 overs. Binit Shrestha scored 39 while Pratik Singh made 22 runs for Budhanilkantha. Apart from Bam, Ashray Piya also took two wickets.
Praveen Agrawal scored 24 runs for Galaxy. Rajashwi Pratap Sen, Navin Yadav and Rohit Khadka bagged two wickets each while Pratik Singh claimed one for Budhanilkantha. Bam won the man of the match award.
Adarsha Vidaya Mandir will play DAV and GCA will face Brihaspati Vidya Sadan in Tuesday’s quarter-finals.
